The Opportunity
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner with the business and people leaders to support future resource planning, recruitment requisitions and strategic sourcing initiatives that support business strategies. Based in Melbourne, you will drive end to end recruitment delivery and showcase the Australian Unity brand whilst providing a fantastic candidate experience.
What you will do
- Engaging with our business platforms, hiring managers and other key stakeholders to successfully deliver key resourcing initiatives across our retail business groups including banking, health insurance, corporate and call centre / customer facing business groups
- Provide innovative and pragmatic solutions for improving resourcing effectiveness
- Primary contact and accountability for managing any utilisation of recruitment agency and search consultants in adherence with Australian Unity agreements and protocols
- Influence and educate the hiring managers to develop their recruiting and assessing capability.
- Managing and participating in full cycle recruiting in close collaboration with business, hiring managers and other key stakeholders from entry-level to senior level hires. This includes:
- Assessing candidate applications, screening, interviewing, recommending shortlists, offer management and managing a portfolio of requisitions to agreed cost, quality and time parameters
- Primary accountability for ATS (Applicant Tracking System) data integrity and accuracy that flows into terms and conditions of employment contracts.
- Ensuring that proactive candidate pipelines are developed to minimise business interruption, through proactively creating both active and passive candidate markets for strategic and critical roles
- Acting as an advocate, brand ambassador for Australian Unity Recruitment function and employment brand with all stakeholders throughout all stages of the recruitment process
- Working collaboratively with our candidate care team to facilitate efficient and timely on boarding of new hires.
What we are looking for
You will be a motivated 360 recruiter with a demonstrated history of developing collaborative and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to take initiative on recommending and implementing improvements.
Our ideal candidate will have;
- Demonstrated talent acquisition experience managing end-to-end recruitment lifecycles
- 5+ years’ experience working in a high paced talent acquisition environment
- Exceptional candidate management and stakeholder engagement capability. From application to onboarding stage, candidate experience is at the heart of everything that you do.
- Proven ability to leverage sourcing and applicant tracking technologies to deliver high quality talent outcomes.
- Proficient with and capable of learning new technologies and systems, ideally with experience using SuccessFactors, LinkedIn Recruiter and SEEK Premium Talent Search.
- Proven ability to complete work in tight timeframes and the flexibility to handle changing priorities.
