Wexford Health has an exceptional opportunity for a Part-time Physician to join our team of healthcare professionals at Jefferson-Franklin County Correctional Facility in Fayette, MS.
**This position is for a 4 hour work week** Responsibilities:
The Site Physician practices medicine in order to promote the highest quality in medical care and services. They are responsible for reviewing and understanding all health care provided by Wexford Health Source! s and delivered at their site. The Wexford Site Physician will! participate in clinical program development, quality management, utilization management and staff education in a manner consistent with the corporate objectives and philosophy of Wexford Health Sources. They are responsible for helping to maintain the highest level of medical quality and service at their site. The proper candidate will work effectively with patients, patient families as appropriate, medical and nursing staff, security staff at all levels and administrative and support staff (i.e., pharmacy, laboratory, consulting physicians, dentists, etc.) Qualifications:
Work Environment: Standard medical setting in a correctional facility, which includes daily interfacing with inmates, correctional staff, and health care personnel
Licensing: Must have a current Mississippi state license
Experience: Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred
Education: Must be a graduate of medical school; Board certified or Board eligible ! preferred
