The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in ! Jackson, MS, a major affiliate of the University of Mississipp! i Medical Center, School of Medicine (UMCSOM), is seeking one part-time or full time faculty/staff physician for patient care and education in general cardiology. Duties include staffing outpatient clinics, inpatient and outpatient consultation and interpretation of electrocardiograms and nuclear medicine studies. The teaching of cardiology fellows, medical residents and medical students is an integral part of this position as well as collaboration with Nurse Practitioners who work in our Cardiology Division. Applicants should be board eligible or board certified (BE or BC) in internal medicine and BE or BC in cardiovascular diseases and must have credentials sufficient for academic appointment at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Department of Medicine at or above the Assistant Professor level. Additional formalized training in heart failure favorable but not required.
