Our firm, Primacy Search Group, has been retained to recruit a Chief Operating Officer for a top-performing full service acute care hospital located in Mississippi.

Description The Chief Operating Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer of hospital operations. Primary reporting relationships are with the Director of Nursing, Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Administrator and Controller. Primary responsibilities of the COO will be to provide direction and administration of general operations for ancillary departments, productive management, and new service line development. The accountability of this position is to ensure high quality health care is delivered which meets or exceeds set standards while maintaining a reasonable cost structure. The COO is responsible for ensuring compliance with hospital, governmental, JCAHO, and management expectations.

Qualifications

Ø 3-5 yrs of experience with an acute care hospital, including overseeing general operations for ancillary departments, strategic planning, as well as physician relations and recruitment.
Ø MBA/MHA is required.
Ø Management experience in hospital/h! ealthcare environment.
Ø Experience in hospital administr! ation.
Ø Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
Ø Computer skills
